I was going through my grandmother's jewelry box and found a ring from the 1960s. The stone was huge, but the setting was old-fashioned; no one wears that anymore—it looks like grandma's. The pawn shop offered me pennies for the gold. Does anyone really care about vintage jewelry ? Or are there places that will pay more than just the gold for a design like that?

Vintage jewelry is incredibly valuable these days, especially if it's a designer piece. I took my grandmother's ring (it was from the 1950s, with a scattering of diamonds) to Luxe. Brokers https://luxebrokersgroup.com/sell/diamond-rings/ . The craftsman looked at the hallmark, at how the stones were set (it's handmade), and said that the setting itself was worth money due to its age; they took the ring from me for a lot of money.
